While the central government invokes regulation to ‘curb speculation’, Oh Se-hoon’s rhetoric also circles the same watchwords: managing overheated markets and protecting citizens. Lee aims to squeeze the market via restrictions; Oh Se-hoon talks of easing but ends up producing similar outcomes — supply stalls and transactions freeze.
The languages differ: one speaks of control, the other of cautious liberalization. But daily life for residents remains the same — prospective buyers cannot buy; sellers cannot sell. If that is 'stability,' whose stability are we applauding?
